FULL MOON Blessings: READY – STEADY – RISE

We have an Imbolc Full Moon this weekend (also known as the Snow Moon).  One of my Elders described snow as a ‘blanket of love’ covering the Earth, I love that and feel it’s what the world most needs right now – love.  That’s not easy with all that’s going on.  Many feel tense, many feel their internal power rising as they connect with their inner rage and the need to take action is strong.  Work together with this.

Full Moons as always are a culmination of the four previous weeks, how has your past month been?  Here in the northern hemisphere, we are still in the cold Winter moons so rest and self-care are still a priority.  How well have you been looking after yourself?

As a last hurrah the Wood Snake invites you to shed the rest of what you no longer need.  Take a look around your environment - really take a look, does it reflect who you are becoming?  Does it need a refresh?  This also applies to the daily habit ruts you have got so used to.  Change things up a bit, do these habits still serve you?  What needs to change? 

This year is about starting a new cycle so don’t keep dragging yourself with down with the same old, same old.  It also applies to relationships, step away from those that drag you down and want to keep you stuck.  Step away from groups/organisations who do not match your values, step away from anything and anyone that prevents you from being you.  Is it time to find your new tribe?

Energy-wise, Sensitives still have heightened sensations and high/low energy dips as well as increased physical aches and pains, digestive disturbances and disrupted sleep, busy dreams too.  Please rest as often as you can.  Human beings are being recalibrated to a higher level right now and it takes a while for your physical vehicle to adjust. 

As I mentioned last time, it’s a time of building your foundations for the year and decade ahead.  Not just physically, but also the way you live your life, the way you work and the way you love and play.  Get your journal out and write down in full detail the type of life you want to live (in all areas of your life), and the way you want to see yourself living in the next year/decade.  Create an affirmation from that.

The astrology continues to be interesting with Saturn (the Task Master) moving into Aries on Valentine’s Day where it will stay until 2028.  Saturn brings a reality check; it’s time for humanity to grow up and show up.  Being lazy or half-arsed will not cut the mustard from now on.  Saturn makes us get our sh*t together but always rewards those who do the work.

It’s time to get serious, get grounded and get your goals organised.

It’s about your long-term growth; remember we’ve just started a new nine year cycle.  It’s about being self-reliant, responsible, mature in all that you say and do, more disciplined and consistent.

There’s also a reminder about pacing yourself, we’re moving into a Fire Horse year when things can happen quickly, you must pace yourself so that you don’t burn out before achieving your goals.

Saturn also reminds us about boundaries, as you let go of who/what you no longer need, ensure you have strong boundaries in place as you boldly move forward.  Be discerning, when things get exciting check it all out first, don’t feel pressured into buying anything or signing anything unless you are absolutely sure about it and them.

Neptune (The Dreamer, the Mystic) moves into Aries 26 January until May 2038!  Neptune is the planet of dreams, fantasy, imagination.  Even in times of uncertainty, Neptune encourages you to keep the faith and keep going.  Be assured that those feelings of ennui, confusion, feeling down, lacking motivation, feeling stuck and/or powerless ends now. Neptune lifts your spirit helping you to attune to and attend to your dreams and goals.

However,  stop wasting time daydreaming and start taking action day by day towards those dreams and goals.  Journalling and vision boards are all well and good, but what action are you taking day by day to make things happen?  What are you doing to be in alignment with what you want?  It’s a time of exciting innovation.

Not quite sure how to do all this?  Start with the first step, keep the faith and the way and synchronicities will be shown.  It’s more important that you just get started and go for it.

It’s a wonderful time of fresh starts and freedom to be you, yet doing this in a way that doesn’t exclude those you love.  There’s no rush, take your time, build on what you have already accomplished as you innovate and create the new for yourself.

Lightworkers it’s your time to shine, keep doing the wonderful work of light and love that you are doing, it matches Neptune’s ideals perfectly.  You may also find yourself looking for new spiritual avenues to explore, or working more closely with community.  It’s a time to step up as a leader.

Neptune can also cause illusion, so if something or someone looks too good to be true - it probably is, lessons in discernment here.

The Leo Full Moon brings strength, and helps you to strengthen your resolve, you will feel more in touch with your willpower and want to get motivated and get going with what needs to be done.  Leo also likes to have fun, so don’t forget to invite pleasure and fun into your life over the coming weeks, let your inner child get creative.  Move your body regularly to keep the energy moving through you.

This Leo Full Moon gives you permission to shine and be you.  It gives you permission to live large and to take up all the space you want in this world.  No more holding back or hiding in the shadows, it’s time to step forward boldly creating your ideal life step by step, knowing that you have all the support of the Universe.

READY – clear, let go, forgive, release, prepare

STEADY – ground yourself, remind yourself, nourish yourself

RISE – look up, open up, speak up, move forward boldly

It’s also an Imbolc Full Moon.  Imbolc means ‘In the Belly’, what is waiting to be birthed?  What beauty are you ready to birth into your life and/or the world?  What are you incubating?  Nurture it, love it, give it the attention it needs as you prepare it to be born in Spring.

Imbolc’s Goddess is Brigit (aka as Bridie, Brigid), patron of writers and poets, healers, midwives, smithies and crafts.  Her elements are fire and water.

Water is represented by the snows at this time of year.  A time to visit sacred wells, to cleanse your home and yourself with water, to make Full Moon water.

A time for sacred fire and/or candle rituals – write down all that you are ready to let go of and burn it in the flames, call on Brigit to help you cleanse the past and guide you into your future, by honouring your present.  Light incense to cleanse and bless your house.
