NEW MOON in GEMINI
Things may have felt intense for you more sensitive, empathic Beings in the build up to this powerful New Moon, others of you may have felt depressed or sad but can’t quite put your finger on why. It’s to do with the new beginnings energy that this New Moon and Saturn in Aries (see below) is stirring up inside you. You can feel some churning or stirring within, but are not yet sure what that is about.
It's about letting go of who you thought you were and stepping into the authentic you and living authentically in your day-to-day life. It’s about reinforcing your boundaries, putting new plans and systems in place so that you can live the way you truly want to, and you now get a big dose of confidence from Aries to prepare you for the coming changes. It’s a scary feeling, sensing some kind of change is on the way and you may feel some resistance. The urge in human beings is always to stay where it’s comfortable, but not anymore, no more comfortable ruts instead now is the time of living your life fully and authentically. We are all having to leave our comfort zones and stride purposefully ahead to create the lives that we truly want.
The gift of the New Moon in Gemini is that it brings illumination and clarity at last, the clouds clear from your mind, you gain new perspective and can see more clearly what your new beginning might be about.
Gemini is the sign of the mind, it’s also a great time to learn something new for fun, or you may need to learn something new in order to create the future you want, or you may need to connect and learn to collaborate with others (Gemini is the networker of the zodiac and fantastic at connecting people). Gemini reminds you that it’s time to stretch your intellect, pursue what you are curious about and reseach it, be more sociable and develop your writing and commmunication skills.

The Universe
SATURN in ARIES
The other significant astro news is Saturn moving into Aries on 25 May, for the first time in 29 years, until beginning of September, it will then return for longer in Aries from Feb 2026-April 2028. Saturn is the Task Master of the zodiac and until September is giving us a taste of what is to come.
Saturn is about adulthood, it’s time to grow up and take responsibility for your actions. It’s time to get real with yourself. This applies to all of us both on a personal and global level. (It will be interesting to see how world politicians get on with Saturn the Lord of Karma during this transit, some of them definitely need to grow up!) It’s about being CEO of ourselves and our lives, stepping up as a leader not a follower.
On the positive side, it’s time to really go for it, you have planetary support now, whether that’s to do with new projects, completely reinventing yourself or reinventing how you work and live. It’s a chance to start over.
Saturn is renowned for course-correcting, if you’ve strayed off your path, Saturn will get you back on it, and as the parent of the zodiac, some tough love may be involved, which you will resist but you will realise later on that it was exactly what you needed. So buckle up and get ready.
You are currently on a threshold between the old you and the new you (the one that has been slowly bubbling up from deep within), you are stepping away from the past and no longer delaying your future, you are manifesting it now.
Aries is dynamic, action-oriented energy, the time for fantasising about the future you want is over, now it’s time to make it happen. Saturn rewards hard work, you are being asked to work hard at whatever you apply your energy to, it will pay off. Have you got a few projects you’ve been thinking about for a while? It’s time to launch and get them out there. Clear the clutter if you want to move home, be more sociable if you want to meet more people, be more visible if you want to attract more business, you get the idea.
Saturn in Aries will not be smooth sailing all the way, there will be the odd obstacles and bumps in the road, however persevere as it will pay off. Patience is key during Saturn in Aries, the image I saw was of the tortoise and the hare, the hare (Aries) wants to race off and charge ahead but the tortoise (Saturn) will take its time, knowing that slowly but surely it will win.
With all the excitement and new things happening, take care not to take on too much or you could end up ill and crash and burn before you even get there, remember the tortoise and the hare. Saturn relates to structure, so take care of your bones when Saturn is in Aries, don’t push yourself when you are overtired as that is when accidents happen. Keep a balance with work, rest and play.
New Moon Ritual
Set up your sacred space, in the usual way, you will need your journal, pen and your favourite oracle/tarot deck.
This New Moon is perfect for reflection. Thank all that you are letting go of, you have done all this hard work over the past few years, it’s finally time to cut that last cord that keeps you tied to the past and those who are not meant to come on the next step of your journey.
Use your journal to write down everything and everyone that you do want in your life, what kind of life you want, how you want to live your day-to-day life.
What needs to change in order for this to happen? – health/nutrition routines, relationships, where you live, the way you work, time for creativity, time for spirituality, having more fun and connecting with new people?
What steps can you start today towards all of that? Write them down, they’re not set in stone, you can amend and adjust as you go along in the months ahead.
What one action will you take today to start this process? Write it down.
Now clear your mind and meditate to see what other guidance comes through.
Finally, shuffle the cards and ask them for guidance regarding all that you have written down. (If you feel that something is still blocking you, look at the card right at the bottom of the deck, it may reveal what that is).
