Welcome to the last Moon of the year, a New Moon in Sagittarius, giving us a burst of energy and lightness of Being for the Festive season. Mercury (communication), the Sun (happiness) and Venus (love) are also in Sagittarius, encouraging us to enjoy the season and be open to new adventures. Powerful energies for this special Solstice time of year.
More importantly, this line up helps you to start stepping into your new identity. This year helped to strip away your old identities, belief systems, victim mentality, etc, in order to clear your path for who you are becoming. It’s rather like the way we clear old emails and duplicated photos etc on our computers at the end of the year in order to create more space on our hard drive, that’s exactly what this year has been all about. This year is about clearing/deleting and next year is about rebooting.
2025 was a Nine year - completions and endings, 2026 is a One year - new beginnings and forward movement as we all step into a new era. You must let go of the past, let go of who you thought you were and allow yourself to step into the greater version of yourself in 2026. There could still be the odd curveball to nudge you into letting go before this year of the Wood Snake ends, but you can handle it.

We’re not quite there yet, it’s still important to honour the season and listen to your body. Here in the northern hemisphere, we’re in Winter Solstice season, the yin/going within energy. If you feel tired please rest, especially if you are an Empath or Energy Sensitive, your energies have been fried this year with all that has been going on astrologically, globally and politically. Listen to your body, attune to the season, rest and reflect as often as you can.
This New Moon helps you to plant the seeds for your year ahead. What seeds are you planting? If you want peace – how peaceful are you? If you want love – how loving are you? (especially to yourself). If you want abundance – how generous are you (not just with money, but with your time and energy)?
Your thoughts create your reality, therefore visualise what you want for yourself next year, these thoughts are the seeds that you are planting.
And don’t forget your words cast spells, think before you speak, speak more positively about yourself and your life and you will attract what you want. However, if you keep moaning or complaining you will get more the same, the same old – do you really want that kind of energy in your year ahead? The Solstice marks the threshold of your new era.

Spiritually, your senses will be heightened and you will be able to connect on a much deeper level (as long as you haven’t numbed yourself with too much alcohol etc). As you think about what you truly want for yourself next year, visualise those wishes on Sagittarius’s arrow, flying into the cosmos where what you want will be created and delivered to you in perfect Divine timing. 2026 is the year to let your arrow fly!
The Winter Solstice can bring up old memories and bubbles of grief may rise up, let them, it’s all part of your healing process. Be gentle with yourself and others, be kind, we’ve all been through the wringer this year.
Remember, the Winter Solstice is about celebrating the return of the Sun, the return of the Light, allow yourself to let go of the heaviness of 2025 and open to receive the blessings of the Solstice. Light candles and sit quietly watching the soft, gentle light. Remember you too are the Light, so keep shining.
You have changed so much this year, now it’s time to relax and give yourself permission to have some fun!
Thank you for taking the time to read my Blog and for your comments, it’s always a joy to hear from you.
🎄Wishing you and yours a joyous, peaceful Festive Season🎄
Winter Solstice prayer/chant

On this Midwinter night returns the light
The fragrant Yule log burns so bright.
We give thanks for the old year passed
And for the good to come that will last.
Cinnamon, Ginger, Nutmeg and Pine
Soothe our senses and our minds.
Together on this longest night
We vow to love with all our might.
So, let’s hold hands, dance and sing
For the best of things will soon begin.

Your post was a reminder to me to not loose hope and to know the new cycle is upon us and the snake has nearly shed . Looking forward to year one 💚
