Autumn Equinox NEW MOON in VIRGO

Well Virgo, this is your second New Moon in one month, if you didn’t pay heed at the last New Moon then you definitely need to this time.  It’s about getting your life organised once and for all, it’s about new beginnings, it’s about dropping the negativity and moving on – you’ve got a great future ahead of you, don’t let bad habits or thoughts hold you back, in fact, we can all learn from that.

Virgo this includes where you are rigid and trapped in old routines and practices that make you feel like you are in control.  It’s time for change.  Drop perfectionism, stop holding on so tight, loosen the need to control, otherwise you will never experience the freedom that is waiting for you.

Although partial, this Solar Eclipse is still powerful, it closes the last Eclipse season of the year the effects of which will continue to reverberate in all our lives for up to six months afterwards.

Something has been shifting in you over the past few months, you can’t deny that anymore and now you’ve reached the turning point.  This is the final sifting and sorting, deciding who and what we will take into our unfolding future, who/what really matters and discarding the rest.

We are all encouraged to let go of self-doubt, to let go of those negative thoughts, to let go of negative self-talk, to let go of our inner critic; to stop criticising or blaming others, these are old patterns that don’t serve anyone least of all you.  You are no longer who you were, the old you is dissolving to allow the new you to emerge – who is that new you?  It’s time to reinforce your boundaries and boost your self-esteem.

What kind of life does the New You want to be living?

What do you look like, living that life?

What does it feel like?

Where are you?

Who is with you?

What brings you the greatest happiness in that life?

What fulfils you?

What are you going to do today towards this?

What needs to go in order to achieve all of this?

What positive new routines can you create?

Struggling with this?  Tune into your Soul, your Higher Guidance, and don’t override any strange or odd suggestions, follow through on every piece of guidance.  It will all unfold perfectly.  Virgos (and those with Virgo prominent in their chart) may struggle with this as your need to make logical sense of everything will immediately try to override anything that seems a bit woo-woo.  Open yourself to the woo, it will surprise you in good ways.

Next year is the start of the big shift, when the people take back control, when more and more people rise up together, when spirituality and compassion take over from greed and control.

As Virgo is also about health and wellbeing, how well are you looking after yourself?  It’s really important to look after yourself over the next 4-6 months, so that you have the energy to enjoy the opportunities and developments ready to come into your life, and also to withstand any curveballs or challenges that are bound to roll in now and then.  .  Look after your lungs and skin, build your immune system up as the germs and viruses are already doing the rounds.

Equinoxes mark the half way points of the year.  The Autumn Equinox – for those of us in the northern hemisphere – marks the descent into the darker half of the year, moving from outgoing male Yang energy into quieter, feminine Yin energy. It’s important to find balance each day

Mabon, the Autumn Equinox,  invites us to celebrate the previous six months that we have enjoyed, to give thanks for the light and warmth and all we have been able to harvest – physically, emotionally and spiritually.  Here’s an easy recipe for Apple Slice to celebrate the fruits and spices of this festival.

🍎 APPLE SLICE 🍎

Ingredients:

Shortcrust or puff pastry

Sliced apples

Brown sugar

Honey

Spices of choice i.e. cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger

Butter

Method:

Grease and line a baking sheet

Roll pastry and cut into four rectangles

On the pastry sheet generously drizzle a squiggle of honey into four spaces

Lay the sliced apples on top of each section

Sprinkle with brown sugar and spices

Place square of butter on top of each

Place pastry on top of each individual one and tuck in around ingredients

Cook at 180 degrees until golden brown.

Enjoy!
