Feeling more tired than usual?  It’s not just the heat; it was the Dark Nights of the Moon leading up to this week’s New super Moon in Cancer.  The Dark Nights invite us to rest and reflect before the New Moon becomes visible. Cancer is a water sign and the sign of feelings, home, family, nurturing, mothering, and creativity, Cancerians are sometimes prone to moodiness and introversion due to their sensitivity.

Talking of sensitivity, the continuous solar flares may have increased pain levels (especially for those with chronic illnesses), you may have aches and pains that weren’t there before, Spirit likens these to ‘growing pains’ as we are all being upgraded as human beings.

Sleep may be disturbed due to the energies especially for Earth Sensitives who have been picking up on the many earthquakes that have been happening (these have increased since October, most of which haven’t been reported).   Please send healing and light for all the innocents involved.

Your dreamtime may be full of busy dreams with lots of information trying to come through, for some of you it’s like shamanic journeying every night at the moment!

Some of you may also be ‘hearing’ new frequencies, different to the ones you are used to.  Just be open to what is trying to come through.

Lots of self-care required for all of us as this Supermoon in watery Cancer could make you feel emotional for the next few days, supermoons amplify so be kind to yourself and others.  If you feel yourself ready to snap at someone, try and pause before you do so or take some time out.

Mercury (planet of communication) is retrograde in Cancer until 23^rd July, meaning that we have to go back before we can go forward.  Therefore, something – or someone - from the past may come up to be addressed and healed, something emotional that was unfinished.  It could also be old patterns or beliefs rearing their heads again, remnants of the old you that need clearing and/or remnants of family patterns that you are ready to free yourself from.

It’s essential to deal with these and not ignore them as the planets are encouraging you to lay solid foundations for your way ahead, and you can’t do that if the same old cr*p keeps coming up and holding you back, so let it go. 

Although inside you might want to get going and move forward to the new, be patient, it is on the way, it’s being built quietly in the ethers waiting for you to build your solid foundation before it becomes visible.  The incredible astrology this month invites you to lay your foundation stones for your future, to nurture the seeds of your dreams and goals and start planting them in good soil.  Focus on making everything you do a blessing for yourself and your life.

As the sign of home and hearth, some of you may want to change where you are living, avoid doing anything impulsive, think carefully about where and exactly what you want.  This New Moon is the start of the project and will unfold over the next six months.  Or some of you may decide to update where you are now, this makes sense as you have changed so much in the past couple of years that your surroundings no longer match your changed energy.  Time for a glow up not just for home but also for yourself, some of you may be changing your image – although nothing too drastic as Mercury is still retrograde.  Now is a good time to do something new, or buy something new, that represents your future, or something that you can put on your altar to anchor in the future you are creating for yourself.

Don’t forget about your energy and your capacity, Cancerians love mothering and caregiving, however you could overextend yourself without realising it.

Check in with yourself and see if you have the bandwidth for everyone, or do you need to retreat into your shell to recharge? Do you need to reset your boundaries?

This applies to all of us not just those who are Cancer.  I’ve become aware recently of where/whom I’ve been putting a lot of energy into – I didn’t realise how much until now.  Sadly, it’s not appreciated, so I need to pull back that energy for myself and my own projects and goals.  For some, is it time for you to find your new tribe?

For all of us, it’s about creating relationships and environments where our nervous system feels safe, where we feel appreciated, loved and respected.  When you have this, it enables the wild, free spirit within you to take bold, confident steps forward.  This New Moon invites you to strengthen your boundaries at work, at home, socially and most importantly of all, with yourself.  It’s about finding peace with it all so that you can be free to create more joy.

Astrologically July has so much going on, and it’s powerful.  It builds to a peak on 21-22 July with Barbault’s Basket or Cradle.

This is a rare, highly auspicious alignment named after André Barbault an astrologer who predicted this cradle (interestingly he also predicted Covid in 2011 describing it as a ‘new pandemic’).  He describes this basket as the start of major global restructuring as we move from the chaos of recent years and into the energy of building something solid and lasting.  He saw this as one of the highest points of the 21^st century,  “the most benefic configuration of the century, a splendid relaunch of civilization.”  Barbault was born in 1921 and died in 2019 before anyone knew about Covid.  He also predicted the Vietnam escalation, the fall of the Berlin wall and much more – and it has all happened. 

The cradle/basket shape is formed when several planets (Jupiter at 4 degrees Leo, Uranus at 4 degrees Gemini, Neptune at 4 degrees Aries and Pluto at 4 degrees Aquarius).  These planets create a shape that on the astrological chart looks like a basket or cradle creating protective, nurturing, highly supportive energy.  Described as a ‘cosmic safety net’ it’s an opportunity for long-term visions that benefit and heal the collective with insight and compassion.  (The number Four of course represents foundations, grounding, order and gives us a solid underfooting).  It feels like the Universe is cradling us, holding the space for us so that we can become the Beings we were always meant to be.

This is global transformation, this is revolution, old systems will break apart and the new will take their place.  The next two years will be so interesting as we rebuild our world on stronger, more compassionate foundations.  Yes, it will be a bit tumultuous for a couple of years as the old patriarchy continues its death throw causing more chaos, yet deep inside you know you will be okay, you know it will all be okay because underneath it all is a growing strong sense of community and solidarity. Together we are making change happen.

On a personal level, you will experience breakthroughs with more ease.  This is a once in a lifetime chance to turn your life around for the better, the cradle signals a fresh start and a new energy frequency for all of us.  Are you ready to break apart the old and ride the bold new wave of transformation for yourself and your life?

Visit water.

Swim in water, bathe in water, in the shower see it as washing away old energy and cleansing you from the past.

Solar charge your drinking water to give your cells energy and remember to drink little and often, especially in this hot water.

Use herb infused water to anoint your third eye, heart and solar plexus chakras then pour the rest over the garden or land around your home.
