FULL MOON in ARIES

Full Moons are the culmination of what happened since the New Moon and transpired over the past month.  Full Moons always bring emotions to the surface; it’s time to say how you feel.  Dreams become more vivid and sleep patterns can be disturbed.  People and animals become more vocal, (the cats in our area seemed to tune into the Full Moon energy several nights before, waking us up with their caterwauling and fighting).

This Full Moon invites you to reflect on your relationships (family, business, personal), your role in them and any action you need to take.

- Where do you need to step up and take action?

- Has something been troubling you for a while?

- Is something coming to a head?

- What have you been holding back on?

Now’s the time to speak your truth and talk about it, Aries gives you the energy to do this.  It’s about finding a balance between what you need and desire and what those in your life need and desire.  The Full Moon will bring it all to light.  If you find it difficult to talk about these things, write down what you would like to say on paper first, this will help.

Aries is the dynamic go-getter of the zodiac, and this Full Moon in Aries invites you to reflect on how dynamic you are in your life and relationships –

- Are you a leader in your life or is life leading you?

- Who is in charge?

- Have you been suppressing your needs and desires to accommodate someone else’s?

- How strong are your boundaries?

- It’s time to take action on those dreams and plans that have been percolating over the past few months.

- It’s time to trust that you can achieve bringing what you want into form.

- It’s time to connect with and build your support network to help you.   Like-minded friends and colleagues, family members and partners who believe in you.  Don’t be afraid to reach out to someone new or a new group that would support you.

Aries gives you the assertive energy you need to find a way that works out for the good of all concerned.

Full Moons help you to see through illusions by bringing them to the surface to be dealt with.  The Full Moon also helps us to release stagnant energy, in your body you can dance, bounce, run, jump, shake it all out.  Work with the breath which is one of the best ways to clear stagnant energy.  Shout or sing to clear any stagnation in your throat chakra.  At home, where does the energy feel stagnant?  Clear that room/area of clutter, clean it and smudge it with incense or herbs.

Aries rules the head, upper body, brain, face, eyes, and jaw.  Feeling headachy?  How much water have you drunk today?  How much fresh air did you get today?  Have you been glued to a phone or screen for too long? (this will also affect your eyes).

Sinus trouble can occur and there are bugs around at this time of year, warm a tiny dab of coconut oil between your little fingers and apply to just inside the nostrils, this creates a little barrier to stop germs going any further, especially if you are  in crowded places.

Where are your shoulders right now?  How tense is your jaw?  These both can contribute to headaches and upper body aches.  Gently massage your jaw with both hands, starting at the centre and all the way up to your ears.  Now gently massage the hinge point on both sides, opening and closing your mouth as you do this.  Wonderfully relaxing and releases a lot of pressure in the head.

Herbs that support this lunation; nettle to build energy, warming spices such as ginger, cayenne pepper and cinnamon.  The change in season reminds us to eat more warming foods to keep our digestive fire strong and to warm our central core.

We’ve just had the Libra Equinox, the sign of balance reminding us of the balance between light and dark.  It’s our half year reset, give thanks for the first six months of this year and decide how you want to live the next six months.

On the positive side this Full Moon can initiate a fresh start, which area of your life are you ready to start afresh?  What routines could do with a refresh?  What new rituals can you bring into your daily life?

Perhaps the most important thing to build into your days and weeks from now on, is adequate rest and reflection time.  The energy of the year has started to wane; therefore, we need to follow suit.  Letting go like the leaves, quiet time like the trees, trees quieten their energy during Autumn as they begin to protect and gather their energy which is needed for the coming Spring.  It’s a time to focus on your roots, keeping yourself grounded and not leaking energy.

Full Moon Blessings y’all!
