FULL MOON Blessings: Release – Reclaim - Rise

FULL MOON in TAURUS
Disrupted sleep anyone? Weird dreams anyone? Feeling grief or overly emotional? Feeling unsettled but can’t quite put your finger on it? ‘Tis the Full Moon my lovelies and all that retrograde energy, plus the veil is thin as we approach Samhain and we’re in Scorpio season.
On top of all this, Venus who is currently retrograde in Scorpio, nears the end of a 100 year cycle which started in 1930, of being retrograde in Scorpio every eight years to the present day.
Think about your ancestral line, especially looking back at your female ancestral line since 1930, what have the women in your family been through over the decades? What were their lives like, their rights and freedoms if they had any? And now the last past of this happens to you, you are the one who unknowingly has been carrying some of that load from previous generations, but it stops now with you.

You and they have lived through the tests and tribulations of Venus retrograde in Scorpio. Tough lessons in love, life and relationships of all types, yet which made some of these women formidable, they were pioneers in creating change for women and women’s rights, which you now benefit from.
As Samhain, the time to honour our Ancestors approaches, it’s good to give thanks to those you are descended from. They are the reason you are here. This Samhain, set up an Ancestors altar to honour them, with the veil thin between the worlds they are simply a breath away, so talk to them, ask them questions and be patient for the answers.
As I mentioned in my recent Blog post, retrogrades take us back to look at something, to revisit something to see if we’ve finished with it/learned the lesson from it. Retrogrades slow everything down so that we can see what needs to be dealt with, they give us the space and time to make the changes that are needed. Most people moan about retrogrades and resist them, I say make the most of them, use the time to rest, reflect, and ‘re’ everything including re-lax.
One thing that has been coming up a lot lately, particularly for Empaths and those of you who are Sensitives, is that you don’t have to fix everyone and everything. You are already overwhelmed with all that is going on. Stop. Are you on sensory overload? Where are your boundaries? Are you giving out too much energy and time and not keeping much back for yourself?
Mercury (planet of communication) when retrograde causes tech glitches (my mobile phone has been playing up, I need a new one, but not until after Merc retrograde is over).
Mercury retrograde also affects verbal and written communication, people aren’t listening properly, they are not translating or clearly computing, what you say correctly or are taking umbrage.
People will press your buttons with what they say, try not to react, we’re all in the same boat. Pause – breathe – and don’t hit send unless you are 100% sure.
It’s a time of letting go, especially of the opinion you have of yourself, if only you could see yourself the way others see you. You are beautiful, talented and caring. This is a time of tuning into love in a much deeper way than we have all done before. A time of loving and valuing yourself, so that you can generously love and value others without draining your energy.

It’s a time of going within, not numbing yourself with social media or other distractions, not ignoring that nagging thought that keeps circling around. It’s a time of facing yourself, lovingly, a time of going into the dark to find the message, to find the reason, to understand, to heal, to realise how strong you are and how far you have come.
It’s a season of massive transformation and empowerment. As you know, all year we have been going through upgrades as humans and now we have reached the point where we turn any lingering darkness into light. It’s an exhausting and emotional process, time to find your cocoon or cosy chair that you can retreat to without distraction to reflect and go within.

Where I live, we’ve gone straight from Summer into Winter, almost bypassing Autumn. The plant kingdom has shed what it no longer needs and now takes its energy inwards, in order to recharge and replenish for the coming Spring. I hear the energy of trees and plants; my garden has gone quiet which is my signal to do the same. To let go of what no longer serves the evolving me, to rest and rejuvenate and enjoy planning what to seed and plant for next year.

Scorpio is the Phoenix and rises out of the ashes of their old self and old life into their gloriously colourful new self, starting their new way of life. The picture above is of ‘The Comeback Queen.'
"She rises in sequins and grace, proving every fall made her sharper, now she begins again and writes her new script. It’s about rising differently, more brilliantly each time you do. She represents the strength gained through experience, the wisdom won by weathering trials. She asks you to trust the cycles of destruction and renewal (very scorpionic). The Comeback Queen rides her Phoenix with poise, knowing that what returns carries new depth, new dignity. She urges you to embrace the story of your scars, to let them glitter like the jewels on her headdress – proof of survival, proof of becoming.
(from Lyn Thurman’s ‘The Misfit Divas Oracular Spectacular’ oracle)
What will you let go of that you may rise from the ashes of it like the fabulous Phoenix that you are? What do you desire for yourself? Make it big, make it bold, make it colourful!
How to ride this transit – do something Taurean:

- Enjoy a delicious meal.
- Share it with those you love.
- Change the bedding and use the good stuff.
- Pamper your body, a massage is ideal.
- Dress in your favourite outfit (Taurus loves quality) even if you’re staying in.
- Ground your body in Nature, walking, breathing, noticing.
- Do something creative with your hands, gardening, pottery, art, etc.
Full Moon Blessings y’all!
