FULL MOON in SCORPIO

Also known as the Flower Moon, this Full Moon in water sign Scorpio could be intense and emotional.  It’s time to face your fears, own your desires and live your truth.  It’s about clearing old patterns, shedding your old identities and old emotional baggage.

Leave it in the past where it belongs, don’t keep dragging the past into your future.  Stop talking about it and bringing up what happened months or years ago, it’s gone, forgive, forget, move on.  Focus on where you are now.  If you bring all that old cr*p into your future then you will get more of the same, because what you focus on you get more of.  So, what do you want to focus on?  Do your words reflect that?

This Scorpio Full Moon will bring to the surface what needs to be seen, the conversation that has been needed for a long time, what has been stuffed away will rise up with a roar to be heard, the air needs to be cleared.  Just be careful not to sting yourself by creating unnecessary karma, this Full Moon is about acknowledging, clearing and healing.

Scorpio is the only sign that can go into the underworld (including other people’s underworld) and emerge unscathed.  Many people dread Scorpio transits and energy, but Scorpio is your candle in the darkness.  Scorpio will always help you to find your way back to the light.

May is an interesting month from a Feng Shui perspective also and ties in perfectly with the current astrology.  Feng Shui expert Kevin Foong said that May is a pressure building month and

What you have been avoiding … shows up

What you have been delaying …. must move

What you have been unsure about … becomes very clear

He said don’t put off a decision, don’t delay anything or the decision/conversation may be forced upon you and you will be overwhelmed, whatever you are procrastinating about will have to be dealt with.  Act and move forward or hesitate and feel the squeeze.  He said

May 1-19 is about structural grounding

May 20-31 is acceleration phase.

In other words, use the first half of May to sort out the above-mentioned issues and get organised, as the second half of the month will be busy.  This can relate to your relationships, or your home, money or business/work.

Alignment is the key, it is so important to align yourself to what you want and who you really are right now, do make time for alignment.  This can mean letting go of who you thought you were.  I have been going through a personal realignment process.  The severe shingles I had last year caused my thoracic spine to collapse and my body shape has changed as has my height.  I have had to learn to align to who I am right now and let go of who I was, I am learning to dress this body as it is now and have had to let go of most of my old clothes.  Once I accepted this and started aligning to the new me, it has been fun finding clothes to match who I am becoming rather than who I was.  This experience is also making me look at other aspects of my life in a new way.

If you don’t put steps in place to become more aligned, you may feel more stress and pressure.  When you are aligned, good opportunities come in, support comes your way, and things start to move in your favour.

May is a Dragon month, work with Dragon to give you the strength to do/say what needs to be done.  Dragon is also a great protector.  Meditate and see what colour Dragon wants to work with you.

May is also a celebratory month, despite all that’s going on, it’s an invitation to slow down and bit and take time for the simple and occasionally luxurious pleasures.  Indulge in Taurean delights such as treating yourself to your favourite body lotion and taking time to massage it in, loosening old tension and re-connecting with your body.  Cook yourself a delicious meal, get together with friends, spend time in the garden getting your hands dirty, as you pull up the weeds visualise this as pulling all that is unwanted from your life, plant something new that you can nurture over the summer and onwards. Have a fire ceremony and light your candles.  Move your body, dance and sing.

It’s also a Beltane Full Moon.  Beltane means ‘bright fire’ and is known in Ireland as Bealtaine.  It is a joyful turning of the Wheel of the Year that celebrates desire, creativity, and the sacred vitality of life returning in full colour. Many Pagans honour the living land and their deities or spirits of place with simple rites of blessing—circling a fire or candle for purification, weaving ribbons or flowers as symbols of union and abundance, and setting intentions for love, courage, and growth. It’s also a time for mindful celebration: sharing food and drink, offering thanks, and stepping into nature to recognise the holiness of pleasure, beauty, and connection.

Beltane Chant

“Fire and flower, flame and field,

Love awakened, life revealed.

Spirits dancing, hearts unbound,

Let Beltane’s joy and light surround.

Bless this flame, strong and bright,

Guard our kin through summer’s light.

By ash and spark, by smoke and air,

May health and joy be everywhere.”
