FULL MOON in SCORPIO

I’ve had such interesting dreams leading up to this Full Moon, have you?

If things have felt a bit intense lately, or as if pressure is building, ‘tis the Full Moon my lovelies.  We have a powerful Full Moon in Scorpio.  Avoid arguments on social media as it will be like lighting a touchpaper, stand well back if you don’t want to get burned.

Scorpio is the most misunderstood sign of the zodiac.  Intense - yes, because they care.  Moody, sometimes because they need time to process their thoughts.  Sexy – when they want to be (but it’s not the be all and end all to them), they’re much deeper than that.  Loyal – you bet, they will love you and defend you to the end (unless you betray them, then you have lost them forever).  Scorpio energy is transformative and magickal.

Full Moons are the culmination of the past four weeks and bring emotions to the surface.  This Full Moon in Scorpio shines its bright light into your darkest corners, helping you to heal what has been stuck in your shadow side and has been holding you back.  (I recently wrote an article on Substack regarding the Shadow Dance https://substack.com/home/post/p-162978123 ).

This Full Moon will stir deep emotions and also provide you with valuable Aha moments and revelations, some might be tough to take, but are necessary.

Scorpio insists on the truth, because they can spot a lie a mile off (and will lose all respect for that person).  This Full Moon encourages you to live your truth, and gives you permission to be yourself, to allow time for yourself and to balance this with the other relationships in your life.  Above all, speak your truth, live your truth and all will be well.

In this Snake year, you are being encouraged to shed the old skins of who you think you are and truly be your real self.  This month especially is the time of letting go of the past, the old stuff that has been holding you back.   Letting go of the people, places, beliefs and attitudes that you have outgrown.  Letting go of negative thoughts and attitudes that no longer serve you.  Move away from and let go of whoever/whatever disempowers you, this Scorpio Full Moon is about self-empowerment.

It’s a great time to do some inner child work, and also reflect on where you give your power away.  Take a look at who or what causes conflict in your life, take an honest look and ask ‘what is that really about, what is underneath it all?  This will help you to heal and move on.  It’s time to express how you feel, no more stuffing those feelings down.

Here in the UK, we have had some lovely warm, sunny days bringing the promise of Summer, however it has also been very chilly.  In Traditional Chinese Medicine we are reminded that fluctuations in temperature and any dampness at this time of year in the northern hemisphere, can cause joint pain, aches and pains and feeling tired/lethargic, some tummy issues could occur too.  Wear layers, particularly for your upper body to protect your kidneys, and the back of your neck and throat.  Drink plenty of fluids to stay hydrated during warm spells, herbal teas such as delicious mint or lemon balm tea, will also give you extra nutrition.   Ease up on heavy, oily foods but continue to enjoy warming foods when you need them.  Eating red foods supports heart energy as does Hawthorn tincture, love your heart this month.

The highest aspect of Scorpio is the Phoenix, and you are encouraged to rise like the Phoenix out of the ashes of your past, to stretch your beautiful wings and fly into the fabulous new future you are creating for yourself.  Yes, this is a recurring theme, because we are all going through a massive transformation.

FULL MOON RITUAL

This Scorpio Full Moon is a good time to do some candle magick

You will need:

o   A candle (purple is ideal, but white is just as good).

o   Paper and pen

o   Incense

o   Feather

o   Small glass of water

o   Quiet space where you cannot be disturbed.

The candle is for the fire element to burn away the past and all that is negative, incense to represent the earth element, feather to represent the air element, and glass for the water element.

  • Set up your quiet space and call in your protectors/guardians/guides.

  • Set out your magickal tools listed above.

  • Sit and take a few deep breaths to centre yourself.

  • Light your candle - dedicate it to your ritual.

  • Now write down everyone and everything that you know you need to let go of.  Be honest about yourself too, what bad habits and patterns do you need to let go of?  Write until you can’t think of anything else to write.

  • How do you feel?  Take a sip of water.

  • Now light the incense and using the feather waft the incense across the pages you have written, and recite this chant:

I call upon earth, air, water and fire

Release me from all I no longer desire

Give me the courage to truly be me

As I set the past and myself free

From the ethers help me to renew my vow

To honour my truth and live in the now

Guide my path from this day forward and on

With strength and wisdom, ‘til my days are done

Blessed Be

  • Then sit awhile, be open to receiving further messages and insights.

  • When you feel like the energy is fading and you’re ready to finish, think about who/where you would like to send the light of the candle to, then blow it out and spiral the smoke upwards with your hand.

  • Thank and release your guardians and guides and have a sip of water.

  • Roll up the sheets of paper and twist them, then burn them safely (in a cauldron or heatproof container) until every word has become ash, then cast the ash to the winds or sprinkle around the garden.  You can also pour the remainder of the water on the earth as a blessing.

Let me know how you get on.

Full Moon Blessings to you all

Elly
