FULL strawberry MOON Blessings: MATURITY and MANIFESTATION

FULL 🍓 MOON in CAPRICORN

We have passed the halfway point of the year, how have the past six months been for you?  Now it’s time to think about the next six months but first, we need to pause and reflect before rushing ahead with plans.

Today’s Full Moon in Capricorn highlights where we need to get real in our lives.  It’s time to drop that heavy load you’ve been carrying around for far too long.  The over-responsibility in your job, or for everyone in your life.

o   Do you have an over-reactive sense of duty?

o   Have you exhausted yourself trying to prove yourself over and over in work or your personal life?  (Please stop doing that, you don’t need to prove yourself to anyone).

o   Have you been over-committing yourself?  Why?

o   Whose energy have you been carrying?

o   What is your capacity?  How much can you do?  How much input can you cope with?  Are you monitoring the kind of input you absorb? Are you monitoring your output?

This Full Moon is a good time to reflect on all of these questions - ideal for a good journalling session.  With Mercury going retrograde (see below), make sure you look after yourself over the next three weeks, rest, turn off your phone, actually sit in silence and let your nervous system calm down, lots of self-care please over the coming month.

July is going to be a powerful month, a pivot, a significant turning point for us personally and globally.  It’s time to start making practical plans to manifest your dreams, you know those fantasies you’ve had for a while about living your perfect life, well now is the time to start making them happen.  You already know what you need to do, so start today.  It’s time to turn potential into reality.  Make manifest those divine inspirations you receive – you have the power to do this.

Not sure?  Go away for a few days if you can, somewhere peaceful so that you can clear your head, when you come back you will know exactly what you want and what needs to happen.  No rush, this is about starting to build the foundations of the life you want and finally making it happen.  Focus on what to you personally feels ethical and lasting, what it would actually mean to live your truth on every level including the material level.

This Full Moon is about being honest with yourself about you, your life and your work.  Capricorn is ruled by Saturn (the Taskmaster), therefore this Full Moon is about maturity, taking yourself seriously, taking responsibility for yourself, for your dreams and goals (no-one else can make them happen).  It’s time to step up and be your own hero in your life, stop waiting for a Knight or Knightess in shining armour to turn up – they ain’t coming – it’s about you making things happen for yourself.  You can do it.

Mercury (planet of communication) goes Retrograde.

Full Moons bring up emotions add to that Mercury goes retrograde in water sign Cancer 29^th June – 23^rd July.  Home and family issues may come up and to avoid unnecessary rows, be clear in your communication with your nearest and dearest.  Or perhaps it’s time you all sat down and had that chat?  It’s an ideal time for finishing off DIY projects in the home, Merc retrogrades give us time to catch up with outstanding jobs.  As ever, back up your computer, check the car, check all travel arrangements, avoid signing important contracts, avoid major image changes during Merc retrograde as you could regret it by the end of July.  Use the time to slow down, fix what needs fixing, and start planning your next six months.

🍓In the American Indian tradition, this Full Moon is also known as the Strawberry Moon as it’s the peak of the strawberry season (have you seen how many bowlfuls of it are sold at Wimbledon?!).  I love strawberries, packed with Vitamin C, fibre and antioxidants they are a luscious way to enjoy the summer.  To grow more of your own, cut a slice of strawberry and place it on a piece of kitchen roll, when it has dried out, pick out the seeds and plant them – et voilà – free strawberries! 🍓
