NEW MOON Blessings: Clearing – Planning – Building

NEW MOON in CAPRICORN

If things felt a bit intense leading up to this New Moon, it was due to Chiron (the Wounded Healer) making us face up to our fears, worries and old issues that raised their heads, and also facing our inner demons. This is to create space in ourselves for this new start New Moon, but oh man has it been intense! Sensitives will have felt this the most, pain levels will have increased as well as disturbed sleep. This will soon ease when the New Moon becomes visible.

The transition into our new era/cycle starts with this New Moon in Capricorn, we are literally at the threshold. Interestingly, there are four planets also in Capricorn with this New Moon: Mars, Mercury, the Sun and Venus. It feels like Capricorn is stubbornly and determinedly digging up anything else we need to heal and clear - facing our demons continues for a while longer. It’s important not to bury your head in the sand and hope it will all go away. Facing your demons is actually easier than ignoring them and a much better use of your energy. And you don’t have to do it on your own, talk to a friend, healer or therapist for support.

If you are feeling unsure of your next step, you are not alone, for some it may feel like being in no-man’s land, not sure where you are headed. Do the work you need to do as it arises and soon the way will become clear. Between now and Spring your homework is to clear all the old cr*p, let go of the past and clear the way for your rebirth in the Spring. The more you are aligned to your true Soul calling, the easier it will be to manifest it.

Change is on the cards for everyone, it’s natural to feel resistance when things start changing and when you know things need to change. Try and go with flow of what is happening, sit with the resistance and see what’s really going on – is it just fear of the unknown? When you identify what is behind the resistance, it melts away and solutions appear. These solutions can be like a welcome bolt out of the blue, so stay open to new possibilities and opportunities.

It’s a great time for clearing out the old, finishing off outstanding projects (don’t leave them any longer or dump them if you don’t feel the energy for them anymore). It’s the perfect time for Spring cleaning before Chinese New Year, clearing out the old year’s energy and creating spaciousness for the new year. Get rid of anything that doesn’t fit anymore, that includes ornaments and knick-knacks, check your cupboards – do you really need that many mugs, vases etc? Get to the back of those cupboards, if you haven’t used it in two years pass it on to charity or throw it out if it’s chipped or broken.

This is more than the usual annual Spring clean; this is a massive spring cleaning of your life. All the intense internal work you have been doing is part of this. I know how hard it has been for some of you over the past year, now it’s time to do the work on your environment (work space as well as home space and outside space). If you are being reborn, then what kind of environment does the reborn you wish to live in, work in, play in and love in? You are the architect and builder, no-one else, so do the groundwork.

Buy one new thing that represents the colour or shape of what you are visioning for yourself. Good colours for this year are earth tones, as well as red, orange, white and teal green – avoid dark colours such as blue or black. Shapes are rectangular or square.

Earth objects such as crystals – this is a great time to cleanse them and/or welcome a new crystal friend who will accompany you on this next stage. Earthenware such as pottery/ceramics or a simple stone that may present itself to you when you are out walking. (See my previous Blog post for more Feng Shui info for this year).

Capricorn is an Earth sign, and will help you to stay grounded and focused as these changes start to unfold. Get out in Nature to ground your energy, eat well to stay grounded, stay in touch with who and what raises your vibration and makes you happy, remember that your tender heart needs a reminder that there are those that love and support you.

Use this practical, Capricorn energy to make a start on creating a solid foundation for your year and decade ahead. Get out of your rut and create new routines that fit who you are becoming, that suit your energy levels better, that give you more space to create and dream projects and plans into being. Get that journal out and start planning! Set your sights higher, last year is last year’s energy and is done with, step into this year’s energy and your bigger, brighter Self.
