New Moon in Libra
Libra it’s your time to shine! This New Moon in your sign is the green light to make your coming year one to remember. What do you want for yourself over the next twelve months? Write it down in your journal, all that you desire for yourself for the next 12 months, be very specific and detailed.
New Moons are about new beginnings, a clean slate for the coming month. Libra is the sign of balance and we’ve just had the Autumn Equinox offering us a chance to re-centre and balance. What needs balancing in your life?
For all of us, we are being asked to consider whether what we have been doing is working for us? Are we doing the same thing and getting the same results? Is it time to try something different? Is it time to dare to step away from what feels comfortable and familiar and do something new?
Emotionally things could be a bit intense around this New Moon. As it’s in Libra, the focus will be on relationships. It’s a time of healing old relationship wounds, and a time of forgiveness so that everyone can move on. It’s about being compassionate with yourself and forgiving yourself for whatever happened in the past.
Also something that’s been brewing for a while, or something that you may have been ignoring hoping that it would go away, may raise its ugly head to be dealt with. Avoid ignoring it, deal with it head on and then it’s gone.
Health-wise: look after your lungs.
In Traditional Chinese Medicine, Autumn is the season of the lungs (inhaling lifeforce) and large intestine (letting go).
Stay away from anyone/anywhere that drains your energy.
Also look after your kidneys, keep them warm when out and about and when sitting for long periods of time. Reduce stress as much as you can, as this weakens your immune system and you need to build it up before the Winter moons.
Feng Shui wise: Libra loves their home and beautiful surroundings, uplift your environment with some fresh flowers, new cushion covers, or a cosy throw for the sofa for the cooler evenings. Change any pictures or ornaments you have, it’s amazing how changing a few things can transform the energy of a room. Do the same in your office/place of work.
Mercury (planet of communication) is still retrograde, this is not the best time for making big decisions or big purchases, wait until this retrograde is over. Don’t forget to double-check any travel arrangements and the small print of any contracts. Wait before hitting send on anything particularly if you are reacting rather than thinking.
In fact six planets are retrograde, so nothing is moving quickly at the moment. Be patient. Retrogrades give us time to slow down and pay attention to what needs to be dealt with. A time of reflection, being honest about what’s working and what isn’t, and formulating new plans and ways of doing and being, so that you can move forward. It’s about looking back, reassessing, and then letting go before you can move forward. Think carefully about any decisions made at this time, as they could impact your life for some time.
Keys to getting through this New Moon transit:
Be kind to yourself.
Pamper yourself.
Remember to breathe out.
Be kind to others.
Bring something new, vibrant and beautiful into your environment.
Work on win-win situations.
Balance heart and mind in decisions.
Be patient.
Stay centred.
Balance is the key to it all over the coming weeks.
New Moon Blessings to y’all!
